Facial Procedures

Plastic surgery, when performed on the face can help restore your youthful appearance with long-term results. Dr. Henry offers traditional and endoscopic facial cosmetic surgery with procedures that are custom-tailored to target your unique problem areas.

You are able to choose a single procedure or a combination of procedures to achieve your desired look, including:

Facelift

Facelifts are a definitive way to turn back the clock on thinning, wrinkled, and loose skin. A facelift can restore a youthful and vibrant appearance, making a difference in the way you look and feel.

The Procedure

Facelifts can be paired with other facial rejuvenation procedures such as neck lifts and eyelid procedures. This is an outpatient surgery and can take 3-4 hours to complete.

Brow Lift

A heavy, wrinkled look on the forehead can create a tired and aged appearance. Additionally, the eyebrows can appear low, making the eyes look fatigued and sleepy. A surgical lifting of the brow works wonders for more advanced cases and for those who have shown to be less responsive to nonsurgical approaches.

The Procedure

While under general anesthesia, the brow is lifted and repositioned in a higher, tighter position. The procedure takes one to two hours and is often combined with other facial cosmetic procedures, such as a facelift or eyelid lift.

Eyelid Surgery

Excess skin of the upper eyelids, as well as a wrinkled and puffy appearance of the lower eyelids can make you appear older and tired. Eyelid surgery can restore a younger and more alert appearance and can be performed as a standalone procedure.

The Procedure

This outpatient procedure takes about an hour for either the upper or lower eyelid to be completely rejuvenated, however it is common for both the lids to be treated at the same time. Eyelid surgery is usually virtually painless post-op, as well. The extra upper eyelid skin will tighten, the skin will be smoother and you’ll have a more “open” look to the eyes.

Rhinoplasty

A rhinoplasty, otherwise known as a “nose job” is a popular operation for men and women. Previous trauma to the nose that has affected the shape is a common reason why patients seek information regarding the procedure. Other reasons are purely cosmetic, while some individuals suffer from breathing difficulties and seek relief through a rhinoplasty.

The Procedure

A rhinoplasty is an outpatient procedure, lasting 1-2 hours and is generally performed under general anesthesia. All of the incisions are made inside of the nose, then the cartilage, bone and tissues are gently sculpted to create the desired shape. It is our goal to create an aesthetically pleasing nose that fits nicely and is in proportion to your face.

Facial Implants

Implants are available to augment all areas of the face, including cheeks, chin and the jaw. Candidates for facial implant procedures include those who have had orthognathic surgery, those with significant asymmetries or those who are unhappy with prior skeletal reduction.

The Procedure

Dr. Henry will perform the facial implant procedure using general anesthesia. Depending on the patient and intended technique, most procedures take 1-2 hours to perform. It is outpatient surgery and patients are back at home the same day.

Facial Reconstruction

Facial reconstruction is generally required when there is prior facial trauma. When the facial bones are broken, they must be accurately reconstructed. This usually involves access to the bones with carefully hidden incisions, placing the bone into proper alignment and holding them in place with small, thin plates and screws.

The Procedure

Facial fractures are the most common injuries that are addressed and often involve the lower jaw bone, upper jaw bone, cheekbone, the bone around the eye, or forehead bone. Recovery is largely dependent on the complexity of the injury and the reconstruction, but overall is quite quick.

Skin Resurfacing

One of today’s newest ways to rejuvenate your appearance is through laser skin resurfacing, which can reduce facial wrinkles, scars, and blemishes. Newer laser technologies give Dr. Henry a new level of control in laser resurfacing – permitting extreme precision, especially in delicate areas.

The Procedure

Dr. Henry uses the laser to send short, concentrated pulsating beams of light at irregular skin. It improves minor facial flaws, such as scars, fine lines or wrinkles, sun-damaged skin, birthmarks, liver spots and warts. The procedure removes the damaged skin one layer at a time. It simultaneously heats the underlying skin, stimulating growth of new collagen fibers. As the treated area heals, the new skin that forms is smoother and firmer.

Botox

Whether you’re looking to erase fine lines between your eyebrows or lighten the creases on your forehead, Botox is guaranteed to give you a smoother, fresher look. With a simple 5-10 minute office treatment, you’ll be looking years younger in no time.

The Procedure

A very fine needle is used to inject Botox into the desired areas. It will then initiate relaxation of the very small muscles under the skin, which is the cause of all the lines and folds. They begin to relax within days, leaving you with a brighter and fresher appearance.
